Florida Intervention is just a phone call away. The intervention process begins when the initial call is made to our intake phone operators. During this call a detailed overview of an intervention will be provided, a few questions asked and the information passed onto an intervention specialist. The specialist will then call back the family and discuss further what type of addiction will be dealt with and any other special concerns that may arise. Because each family and individual is different, the specialist tries to take all things into consideration debriefing the family in advance about any problems that may come about. The interventionist will come out and meet with the intervention participants (but not the individual) before the actual event occurs. During this meeting the specialist will request that all loved ones remain committed to their thoughts and feelings so that the individual will be better able to break through his/her denial. The actual intervention will happen at a chosen destination, most importantly a location in which the individual feels safe. After a successful intervention has taken place the specialist will transport the individual to a (predetermined) treatment location and remain in contact until the rehabilitation process is complete.
